To balance out my last post, I thought I would put up a few photos of what makes summer so much fun. Here are a few recent pictures of my daughter riding her bike.

Gotta love a Care Bears bike!

Is it Fall yet? This heat is getting to me.

A few weeks ago, Melanie asked me if I would be interested in photographing a Drop In And Decorate party she was hosting. Basically, Drop In And Decorate is a nonprofit organization based in Rhode Island. Their mission is to inspire people to bake cookies, invite friends/family over to decorate them, and then donate the cookies to a local charity. Talk about combining two of my favorite things! Cookies and photography! What could be better?! We had so much fun chatting and decorating. Melanie boxed them up and delivered them to the Ronald McDonald House. We ended up decorating about 90 cookies! It was such a wonderful idea and such a fun way to help others.

We’re ready to decorate!

And boy did we decorate!Check out Drop In And Decorate’s site for information on hosting your own cookie party!

I Heart Faces: Desserts

April 12, 2010
Such a fun week over at I Heart Faces! This week’s theme is desserts and I knew the perfect session to draw a photo from! Melanie is such a talented cake artist and back in December we had a great time celebrating her graduation with photos of her on campus with a recent cake she created! I love this cake- it’s so fun and girly!

Head on over to

This is a picture from a recent newborn session. Such a sweet moment with baby and momma.

A few weeks ago I had an amazing opportunity to shoot the best rehearsal dinner I’ve ever seen! Liz, mother of the groom, contacted me a little over a month ago about taking pictures at her son’s rehearsal dinner in Dade City. It was “Vegas” themed and included a night full of gambling and games! The food was great, there was a full bar, and a wide array of casino games for the many guests at dinner. Now that’s a rehearsal dinner! I had such a great time capturing such fun memories for these two families. It was such a great night.

Loved this wheel! You could spin a wide array of results. From, “Pick a prize” to “Give the bride and groom $10″ to “Groom leads the group in the chicken dance.” (Pictures of the last one down below.)

Liz made an amazing slide show of the bride and groom. She had so many people in tears, it was just beautiful!

Such a great night!

Here are some more photos from my session with Melanie on UF’s campus. I really did have a great time capturing these. It was so fun to see people’s reaction to two girls walking around campus with this large, beautiful cake!!
Now that the holidays are officially over (minus my birthday in a couple of weeks…woot woot!), I have lots of catching up to do with photography. Watch out for pictures from my first engagement session very soon! Also, I’ve been working on a new blog, so keep your eye out for that as well! Lots of changes (and hopefully a lot of blessings as well!) in store for 2010! (Which I wholeheartedly believe should be pronounced ‘twenty-ten’ by the way.)

We got a lot of pictures by the “Bull Gator.” Go gators!

And, of course, we had to get some pictures with Albert and Alberta.

And you can’t take pictures on campus without visiting the stadium, right?

Isn’t this cake awesome?!

And another favorite…

Right before the craziness of the holidays, I had the privilege of taking photos of my close friend, Melanie. Melanie just graduated from UF with a PhD! For those of you who don’t know, Melanie is very talented and just started her own cake business, PhD.serts. These photos are meant to celebrate two great accomplishments in her life and I hope she realizes how amazing it is that she is both a PhD graduate and an entrepreneur.

One of my favorite photos of the day.

I’m hoping she won’t kill me for this, but between the adorableness of the cake and the seriously cute shoes, I just love this picture.
