When Leslie approached me to take her maternity photos, I was SO excited. I knew she would come with so many creative ideas and it doesn’t hurt that her family is gorgeous!! I had such an amazing time capturing these moments and I hope it shows in the images. Leslie is a very talented graphic designer, be sure to check out her work HERE. She does absolutely amazing brand design for wedding professionals, so any fellow photogs reading this should contact her!

On to my favorite part…

Thanks for looking!

I had so much fun with these two! They were so fun and such good sports (it was ridiculously hot during our session). These are two beautiful little girls and they were the best models! And check out the adorable headbands the girls are wearing from Charming Necessities! I LOVE her site, she has such cute clothing and accessories.

And now, on to the pictures…

One of my favorite little clients, Ryan, just moved up to Pennsylvania with his parents. Beyond leaving behind his favorite photographer ;) ,  Ryan was also leaving behind his best friend, Maliyah. As a going away celebration, we took pictures of these two best friends.

Warning: Cuteness overload! :)

I recently headed to St. Augustine beach with my good friend, Beth, of Manic Mother Photography to photograph her little guy, Judah. I love how these images turned out and I can’t wait to head back to the beach for pictures!

I met this amazing family through another amazing family I was lucky enough to photograph. This group of people is so much fun and so genuine, I’ve had fun keeping in touch with them through facebook. Kelli (“featured” below) is Laura’s sister, who I was lucky enough to get to know last summer. When I saw Laura’s link to her sister’s blog, I was curious. When I saw that Kelli had been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, my heart stopped. I had learned of TNBC a few years prior and knew how aggressive this form of breast cancer can be. While I can’t cure her and I can’t pay for all of her medical expenses, I can capture her with my camera. Kelli was nice enough to let me do this for her.

I hope these images capture Kelli’s strength and love for life. When she’s having a bad day, I hope she can look at these images of her and her beautiful family and they can put a smile on her face. This is the gift I wish to give to everyone I photograph really. And if I fail at that then I’ve failed as a photographer. Because that is what photography is to me- capturing relationships and personalities (this is why you don’t see too many pictures of nature photography on my blog). Really capturing people for who they are. Although perfect exposure and white balance and all of those technical details are important, they are not what makes a photograph speak to the viewer. You don’t feel exposure in a photograph. Remember this the next time you pick up a camera or are photographed yourself.

Ok, boring part over! Now on to the fun part…

Aren’t they a gorgeous family?Family Walking

I’ve been so behind on my posting. Should have posted this awhile ago, but somehow between laundry, sessions, play dates at the pool, and about a million other things that pull me away from the blog every day, this just didn’t get posted until now. I had to blog these photos though, I love how adorable Dominick is and I love the simple setting. Enjoy! (I especially love that last image…)

Such an adorable family! I went out to the D family’s home a few weeks ago to take newborn pictures of their third little girl! Yep, three girls! You would think with three little girls, one of them being just days old, and a family that just moved into their new home days ago, it would be chaotic, but it was so quiet when I arrived! Baby Katherine, the newest arrival, was ready to go and there wasn’t a peep out of her during the entire session! Such an angel baby! And her older sisters were so adorable, they were my little helpers and I told mom they would make excellent assistants. ;)

It was so fun capturing this family. These girls are little models in the making. Thanks D family for allowing me to capture these images of your family!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie as one of my Mother’s Day mini sessions a few weeks ago. She was so adorable and such a model! Her dad told me she picked out her dress and hair piece as well- love it! This was a top secret photo shoot- a surprise for mom for Mother’s Day! Emma was excited to surprise her mom and I was excited to be a part of such a wonderful gift!
