Although it’s taken me forever to blog this session, I am super excited to share it on the blog! It’s hard to believe I photographed Janyll’s wedding over a year ago! With her wedding package, Janyll booked a bridal session with me. Often, there is not a lot of time on the wedding day for bridal shots and Janyll knew they were important to her. So, she came up with what I think is a wonderful idea: A one year anniversary session! Janyll and Maykel met me at the beach and brought along their top tier cake they saved from the wedding day as well as the makings for a champagne toast! It was so much fun and we had a great time chatting about their first year as a married couple. Honestly, where does the time go?!

OK, I’ve been a bad photo blogger these past few weeks, but between visiting family and working on a few upcoming projects, I’ve let the blogging slide a bit. Well, this post has so many photos, I hope it makes up for it. ;)   I’ve got more from Kristin and Courtney’s wedding…

I told Kristin that she was lucky I have such big feet, otherwise I’d be “borrowing” those shoes from her after the wedding! I LOVE them!

Some getting ready shots.

Kristin, you’re just gorgeous.

OK, these next few shots were from Kristin and Courtney’s “first look.” They opted to meet up a few minutes before the ceremony started to share an intimate moment right before becoming husband and wife. I caught these moments on camera for them and I hope they capture the genuine happiness between these two.

I love this picture above, it makes me smile. Kristin and Courtney have so much fun together and it shows.

More to come!

There are just way too many pictures of this beautiful Costa Rican wedding to include in one or two posts. So, I’ve decided to break it down into 3 or 4 posts over the next several weeks! So watch out! It’s going to be a Costa Rican overload on the blog!

This first post is of Kristin and Courtney’s rehearsal. Everyone had a good time and we managed to squeeze in some fun pictures.

I think this picture of Courtney is a good example of how he is: pretty goofy and a lot of fun!

Everyone ended up hanging out by the pool before the rehearsal and they got their first taste of posing for the camera…This is only a small portion of the amazing pool at the hotel. Oh how I miss that pool!

Kristin is so adorable!

Lovin’ the “bouquet.”

Love this one.

And I have to give a shout out to my fellow photographer at heart…

Love it!

Canan and David made for some excellent test subjects…

A little vintage…

A long wedding rehearsal in 24060 degree weather will wear you down, I’m telling you.

I think they had to carry him back to the room.

It wouldn’t be a rehearsal post without a few pictures from dinner!

So it’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything! It’s been a crazy few weeks, but things have started to settle down and I’m getting back into the groove of editing and having tea parties with my daughter. A big part of the latest craziness was due to these two beautiful people. I just got back a little while ago from Costa Rica!! I was there to photograph Kristin and Courtney’s wedding and I had absolutely the best time. Costa Rica was gorgeous and Kristin and Courtney’s wedding was amazing! These are two of the most generous people, I can’t say enough good things about them. I had a great time meeting their friends and family, and left with so many memories. And as a “thank you” I would like to post just a few pictures from the big day. I am in the midst of editing and will be posting many more pictures, but I wanted to give Kristin and Courtney a few for now. Thanks again you two!

This one was taken at the rehearsal…

Fierce!

I love the way Courtney looks at Kristin. I swear, you can just feel how much he loves her.

I had to post a few more pictures from my session with Janyll and Maykel. They were such great fun and oh so photogenic!

Back in fall of last year, my good friend Janyll contacted me with the some great news- she was engaged! I was so happy when she asked me to be her photographer. I am so excited for her, she is such an amazing person and I know her wedding will be fantastic! I feel so blessed to be a part of it.
Janyll and I both agreed this past weekend when we got together for her engagement pictures that we can’t believe February is already here! It seemed like just a few weeks ago we were talking about taking her engagement pictures and the day has come and passed! I had such an amazing time taking these photos. Janyll and Maykel wanted to take their pictures at the Florida State Fair. They love it and go every year. I’ve never had so much fun at a shoot before! I tell you, every session shoot include gobs of fried food and crazy rides!!
These are just a few of their pictures, I have many more to share! I hope they capture the fun spirit of the day.

While in Tampa for the holidays, I had the pleasure of taking pictures for my husband’s sister, Alex and her new fiance, Major. The two just got engaged a few months ago and I was so excited to take their engagement pictures! The three of us headed to historic Ybor City (how I wish I could photograph in Ybor more often!) It was a little chilly, but we still had a great time. I am so happy for these two and wish them nothing but the best.
