Gainesville Family Photographer | Quick Sneak Peek
October 28, 2011Gainesville Child Photographer | Back To School
September 30, 2011I had so much fun with these two! They were so fun and such good sports (it was ridiculously hot during our session). These are two beautiful little girls and they were the best models! And check out the adorable headbands the girls are wearing from Charming Necessities! I LOVE her site, she has such cute clothing and accessories.
And now, on to the pictures…
Gainesville Child Photographer | Best Friends Session
September 5, 2011One of my favorite little clients, Ryan, just moved up to Pennsylvania with his parents. Beyond leaving behind his favorite photographer
, Ryan was also leaving behind his best friend, Maliyah. As a going away celebration, we took pictures of these two best friends.
Warning: Cuteness overload!
I love how he is peeking over at her in this image.
I love this series.
“She kissed me!”
Love this one of the two of them.

“He loves me, he loves me not…”

August 19, 2011I recently headed to St. Augustine beach with my good friend, Beth, of Manic Mother Photography to photograph her little guy, Judah. I love how these images turned out and I can’t wait to head back to the beach for pictures!

August 14, 2011School is about to be back in session!
So to celebrate…
I’ve decided to do some school-themed mini sessions! These sessions will include an antique children’s school desk as well as many “school themed” props for photos. Celebrate the new school year and mark this time with professional photos to have forever as a keepsake. All the details are below, but email me at elisekerseyphotography@gmail.com with any questions.
As a special treat, all clients who book this mini session will receive a discount on their family holiday portraits this year! I am taking a very limited number of these and they are happening this weekend, so be sure to book soon if you are interested.

Tampa Family Photographer | The K Family
July 23, 2011I met this amazing family through another amazing family I was lucky enough to photograph. This group of people is so much fun and so genuine, I’ve had fun keeping in touch with them through facebook. Kelli (“featured” below) is Laura’s sister, who I was lucky enough to get to know last summer. When I saw Laura’s link to her sister’s blog, I was curious. When I saw that Kelli had been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, my heart stopped. I had learned of TNBC a few years prior and knew how aggressive this form of breast cancer can be. While I can’t cure her and I can’t pay for all of her medical expenses, I can capture her with my camera. Kelli was nice enough to let me do this for her.
I hope these images capture Kelli’s strength and love for life. When she’s having a bad day, I hope she can look at these images of her and her beautiful family and they can put a smile on her face. This is the gift I wish to give to everyone I photograph really. And if I fail at that then I’ve failed as a photographer. Because that is what photography is to me- capturing relationships and personalities (this is why you don’t see too many pictures of nature photography on my blog). Really capturing people for who they are. Although perfect exposure and white balance and all of those technical details are important, they are not what makes a photograph speak to the viewer. You don’t feel exposure in a photograph. Remember this the next time you pick up a camera or are photographed yourself.
Ok, boring part over! Now on to the fun part…
Aren’t they a gorgeous family?
Probably my favorite photograph from the day. Look at those eyes!

This quote seemed very appropriate. And exactly my sentiments.
